GnuMusiq/Patreon alternative

There's been a lot of discussion about the idea of a federated, open-source Patreon alternative. This is for making notes about that.

Requirements

1. Must support ethical sex work (and possibly other work which may be frowned upon by corporate ToSs, as long as it's ethical)
2. Must have a low barrier to entry for creators (e.g. shouldn't need to be able to do BitCoin in order to get paid) and participating nodes (shouldn't need to be able to afford a team of lawyers)
