FTM update

• 20:20 In a way, I should just move on instead of trying to fix this now, but... I want to be able to set a default buffer size in the ui.xml, and it's not working.
  • Maybe that's not even a parameter which should have a default there, but by the time I realized that I was already in "I need to fix this" mode and had spent a lot of time updating docs on the relevant classes in the process of trying to squirrel out what needs to be done.
