ResearchBuy

The only wiki site I have created from scratch for a 3rd party was "ResearchWikis" a MediaWiki instance created for a company named ResearchBuy; it is archived here. They sent me .PSD files for how the pages should look; I extrapolated site behavior to the best of my ability and worked out a detailed bid, which they accepted. Apparently they were happy with the results, although the project was not financially successful.

The site at one point included a "premium content" section to which users could gain instant accress -- a MediaWiki plugin authorized payments via the PayPal API and granted access to the premium area for a set time.

Independent Wikis

I have created the following MediaWiki sites on my own initiative:

  • woozalia.com (this site)
  • Issuepedia, a political analysis site (started 2005)
  • HTYP, a general reference site (started 2005)
  • [https://cwre.org CWRE[ (The Center for Wingnut Remedial Education), a fact-checking site
  • HypertWiki, a personal/family wiki (first wiki created - 2005)
  • VBZ Wiki, a wiki for my online store
