This is where you (meaning whoever places the order) record the quantity actually ordered from the Template:L/vc/term.
It defaults to the quantity needed, but the actual Template:L/vc/term request (order sent to the supplier) may have a different quantity for any of several possible reasons. This field lets you keep track of what was actually ordered, in case it's different from what the system suggested.
